Tiles of Motivation

I just spent 5 days laying tile. It was hard back breaking work. I had to strip off two layers of old vinyl and then lay about 40 square feet of ceramic tile in our downstairs bathroom. I was thinking that laying tile is a lot like deciding and staying motivated. How?
First you have to have the right tools. Without my wet tile saw I would still be cutting tiles by hand. What tools do you need to get and stay motivated? 1) the right people 2) the right information ( books, blogs, pod casts, CD's etc) 3) the decision to be a motivated person.
Second there were lots of challenges ; blades went dull, grout didn't mix the way it was described on the box. In life you will always have challenges and you can let them demotivate you or rise to the occasion.
Third it takes a lot of persistence. It took 2 days longer than I thought it would and I am 10 times more sore than I expected to be. In life you have to be persistent and keep at it.
Today the floor look gorgeous. I have pride that I did it with my own hands ( bruised and cut as they may be) is your life gorgeous? Could it be? Start laying out your life one tile at a time and watch it happen.
